NEW YORK (MAR. 10, 2020) — TEG, the technology-focused search firm making high-impact hires, has recruited Tessley Smith as senior vice president of sales for NetFortris, a leader in secure cloud-based communication solutions.
Smith will be a driving force for NetFortris as the company seeks to grow rapidly and deliver an advanced portfolio of technology applications for enterprise and midsize customers around the world. NetFortris already boasts more than 11,000 customers, and this number will only increase as the demand for cloud communications continues to grow. In fact, the market is expected to reach $5.6 billion by 2023.

As SVP of sales, Smith will set the vision for the sales organization and drive all strategic channel sales efforts nationally. Expanding and developing NetFortris’ industry-best sales team to overachieve against expectations and continue the company’s dramatic growth will be an integral responsibility of the role. He will also work to further NetFortris’ enthusiastic culture of innovation, outstanding service, high engagement, and winning.
Smith is a dynamic sales executive with more than two decades of experience in sales leadership, territory expansion, and the technology sector. As an impressive stint as vice president of channel sales at Broadvoice for the past five and a half years, he more than quadrupled revenues and stood up its channel team. He also has served in leadership roles at Nitel, Birch Communications, and American Fiber Network. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Ottawa University in Kansas.
Smith was identified through a rigorous executive search process led by Sarah McCullough, partner at TEG.
